Forbes College

The Forbes Computer Cluster is located in the basement of the Main Inn. OIT just installed all new computers this summer.  It contains both Windows and Macintosh computers, both with Laserwriter printing support and a scanner. The computers are connected to the Princeton campus network and the Internet via Ethernet. These connections make electronic communication with other Internet subscribers possible world-wide. The network affords easy printer sharing and file sharing. Two X-terminals provide more advanced connectivity to UNIX machines on campus. The center provides convenient and informal computer access for both beginning and advanced users.  OIT supplies the cluster with the equipment and takes care of all repairs. There is also a conference room off the computer cluster that can be used for studying or working on group projects.
