Women’s lacrosse player Liz Fagan ’95, shown here wearing #19, celebrates a goal during the 1994 NCAA national championship game, when Princeton defeated the University of Maryland 10-7 to win their first title.  One week later, the men’s lacrosse team also won a national title (the team’s second), the first and only occasion when one school has captured both the men’s and women’s lacrosse NCAA championships in the same year.   The women’s lacrosse team has won the national championship twice more, in 2002 and 2003, while the men’s team won the title again in 1996, 1997, 1998, and 2001.
