Lead Tertiary Education Specialist and Coordinator of Network of Higher Education Specialists, The World Bank
Francisco Marmolejo coordinates the World Bank’s network of higher education specialists, providing advice and support to bank projects in more than 60 countries. He coordinates a group of more than 100 bank staff members and consultants involved in higher education initiatives around the globe. His past positions include founding executive director of the Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration, an international network based at the University of Arizona, where he also served as assistant vice president; American Council on Education fellow at the University of Massachusetts; and academic vice president at the University of the Americas in Mexico. He also has served as an international consultant at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
