Professor of Production and Operations Management, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore
Pankaj Chandra was the director of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore from 2007 until 2013, when he returned to the faculty as a professor of production and operations management. Previously, he was the first associate dean for academics at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, and was chairperson of the doctoral program at IIM Ahmedabad, where he also helped found the Centre for Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship. He currently serves on the Indian Ministry of Human Resource Development’s Central Advisory Board of Education committee on academics in higher education, and has also served on the committees on the rejuvenation of higher education and the autonomy of central institutions. He has taught at McGill University in Montreal, the University of Geneva, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, International University of Japan, Cornell University, and Renmin University, Beijing.
