Terms of Use, Reprint Policy

Authorization to photocopy articles for personal use is authorized by The Future of Children. Reprinting is also allowed, so long as the journal article is properly given attribution, as written below:

For volumes 14, No. 2 and before, please use this attribution: "From The Future of Children, a publication of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation from 1991 to 2004."

For volumes 15, No. 1 and all subsequent journals and written materials, please use this attribution: "From The Future of Children, a collaboration of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and the Brookings Institution."

It is the current policy of the journal not to charge for reprinting.  

Opinions expressed by editors and writers in the Future of Children materials and on this website by editors or writers are their own and are not to be considered those of Princeton University nor the Brookings Institution.

Privacy Statement

We value and respect your privacy. If you sign up for our e-newsletter, you will only be asked for your email address. This information will only be used internally by the Future of Children staff for the purposes stated here. We will not sell or distribute any of your personally identifiable information. Although we employ industry standard practices to protect your privacy, the technological limitations of Internet data transmission make it impossible to guarantee that personal data will never be disclosed in ways not described in this Privacy Statement. For example, hackers may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or abuse or misuse information collected from the Web site. We do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personal information is completely inviolable.

Electronic and Print Circulation

Future of Children journals and policy briefs are published twice annually.  Additional written products are produced throughout the year.

In keeping with the Future of Children’s mission to disseminate our materials as widely as possible, we offer all electronic copies of our materials free of charge. To receive links to the electronic versions of our publications as they are published, we recommend that you sign up for our e-newsletter.

We sell print copies of our journals. To order a hardcopy of the Future of Children journal, please follow the directions found on our print copy order form.
