The Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics is committed to interdisciplinary education in the life sciences and preparing students in a range of scientific disciplines to become leaders in their fields. Offerings include the undergraduate certificate in Quantitative and Computational Biology and two different Ph.D. degree-granting programs in Quantitative and Computational Biology and Biophysics. LSI faculty and associated faculty in other departments contribute to teaching, advising, and mentorship. The many fields of expertise and research represented in the Institute provide an ideal environment to train scientists to tackle fundamental questions in biology, as well as to find biological solutions to major challenges in areas such as health, energy, and the environment.
