I have taught Scientific Writing through the Princeton Writing Program. The course “Writing an Effective Scientific Research Article” (WRI502) is open to graduate students in all disciplines of science and engineering at Princeton. This is an intensive six-week course during which students are expected to write a publishable scientific article on their research. Through a variety of workshop techniques and one-on-one conferences, students learn how to improve their academic writing by seeing it from a reader’s perspective, and begin to internalize the reader in the way that is inherent to experienced and professional writers.
