Satish Myneni - About Me
Satish Myneni, Associate Professor of Geosciences is an environmental geochemist. The Earth's surface environment consists of a heterogeneous mixture of mineral oxides and organic macromolecules, which interact with each other and the atmosphere, water, and biota continuously. Myneni's Molecular Environmental Geochemistry research group focuses on better understanding the interactions between these components in nature and applies that knowledge towards prediction of a variety of biogeochemical processes. Recent projects include research at the New Jersey's Pine Barrens field station, investigations in the study of natural chlorination processes in decaying plant material with Alessandra C. Leri and tropical dendrochemistry with Pascale Poussart.
