Archive – September 2009

In September 2009 João Biehl, professor of anthropology, joins molecular biology professor Thomas Shenk, as Co-Director of the Program in Global Health & Health Policy (GHP).
Effective fall 2009, a new course is added to the list of approved statistics courses that can be used to fulfill the statistics prerequisite for GHP program entry. Sophomores applying to the GHP program in the spring of 2010 can receive prerequisite credit for SOC 301: Sociological Research Methods.
Starting in the 2009-10 academic year, the GHP program will institute revised GPA requirements for entry into the program. To be eligible for enrollment, students must have a 3.3 GPA overall and a minimum grade of B in each of the two prerequisite courses, following completion of their sophomore year.
