Chamber Choir

The Princeton University Chamber Choir is a select group of 16 mixed voices that sings a range of challenging music from the medieval period through the twentieth century. This ensemble performs both on its own and in concert (as a separate ensemble) with the Princeton University Glee Club. The choir demands a high level of musicianship and a committment to exacting performance.

Recent repertoire includes:
Faure: Requiem
Debussy: Trois Chansons
Bach: Cantata 106
Vivaldi: Gloria
Stravinsky: Mass
This fall the chamber choir will sing music of Palestrina, Heinrich Schtz, and Giovanni Gabrieli. In the spring term, we are working with guest artists for a program of medieval music in conjunction with the Atelier 2000 program.
Admission by audition in the fall. Freshmen and sophmores admitted to the chamber choir must also sing in the Glee Club. Members of the Chamber Choir are eligible for subsidised private vocal or instrumental lessons. For more information, please contact us.
