Global Health Case Competition Presentation
In March 2011, an interdisciplinary team from Princeton University participated in Emory University's third annual Global Health Case Competition.
Twenty teams from 13 universities developed programming recommendations for the following hypothetical case: The Director of Programming for the East Africa Regional Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has had her 2012 budget cut by 40%. She faces the daunting job of prioritizing programs for approximately 800,000 refugees with severely limited resources.
The case challenged students to address an issue that programming directors face routinely: determining how to ensure good care for their populations with fewer resources.
The Princeton University team will deliver its presentation from the competition at noon on Monday, April 11th, in 333 Wallace Hall. Lunch will be served.
The Princeton team's participation was sponsored by the Health Grand Challenge (www.princeton.edu/grandchallenges/health).
