João Biehl receives grant for pilot project expanding current models of global education
Professor João Biehl, working with a team of interdisciplinary colleagues, has received a grant from Princeton University’s Council for International Teaching and Research to develop a pilot project with the Program in Global Health and Health Policy expanding current models of global education. This project is part of broader institutional partnership between Princeton and the University of São Paulo (USP).
The project coordinated by Biehl will bring together faculty, undergraduate students, and graduate students to conduct collaborative research and pedagogical initiatives around global health, health policy, and the anthropology of medicine and health. Initiatives will also involve the Department of Anthropology and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, in conjunction with USP’s Departments of Anthropology and Preventive Medicine and the School of Public Health.
