The application fee is $90 for all departments and must be paid by credit card at the time you submit your electronic application.
Application Fee Waiver
Requests for application fee waivers will only be considered for U.S. citizens or permanent residents on the basis of significant financial hardship or if you are currently participating in one of the following programs: AmeriCorps (WWS applicants only), CORO Fellows, FAF, Fleet Fellows, GEM, IIE/Fulbright, IIPP, IRT, JSI, McNair, Mellon Mays, NYC Urban Fellows, Peace Corps, PPIA, PSURE, SILCS (Summer Institute for Literary and Cultural Studies), SINSI, U.S. Military, VEF or Yellow Ribbon Program. Proof of program participation will need to be submitted along with your electronic application.
In addition, UMDNJ and deferred applications from the previous year will be granted an application fee waiver. You will be notified directly with instructions on how to apply.
You will see the fee waiver option in the payment section of the electronic application. If you choose that option, the fee waiver application will become part of your application and must be submitted by the application deadline. You will be notified of a decision within one week after your application and fee waiver are submitted.
NOTE: If you are denied a fee waiver, you will be required to log back into your application, select your academic term, upload your attachments again on the Additional Information Page and re-submit with payment.
