Summer Arrivals
Notes for Students Arriving During the Summer
If you are required to be at Princeton before registration for either Graduate School or departmental programs and if you are being supported financially by your department for this period, you may obtain a University identification card through the Office of the Academic Dean after July 1. We will not issue you a student ID card if you simply choose to arrive early. The identification card allows you to check out books from the library. You will need to contact your department prior to your arrival to arrange for summer accommodations.
New students must complete a U.S. Internal Revenue Service W-4 form in the Payroll Office, 701 Carnegie Center, Suite 154, and the I-9 form in the Graduate School Office, 105 Clio Hall, before any assistantship or fellowship checks can be received.
International graduate students arriving during the summer will be advised in their immigration materials of early orientation sessions. Please contact the Davis International Center at (609) 258-5006 or puvisa@princeton.edu, with questions.
