Mindfulness and Meditation Lunch: Mindfulness Skills for the Job Search
A workshop for practicing techniques to reduce stress related to a job search, becoming more aware of solutions, and learning new perspectives. A job search can be challenging and may contribute to feelings of stress. Mindfulness skills can be effective for students dealing with uncertainty about the future. It can also help to cope with the anticipated stress associated with job searching in an increasingly competitive work environment. You will be able to make calmer and perhaps more informed decisions and have more control over your situation. You will practice ways to achieve more clarity about professional goals, change internal reactions to disappointment, and reduce anticipation anxiety. Facilitated by Shefalika Gandhi, LCSW and Kathy Wagner, CHES.
Healthy lunch will be served. The event is free. Sign-ups are encouraged but a number of walk-ins also will be allowed. Please sign up with Olivia at omartel@princeton.edu.
