Terence Blanchard and PU Jazz
For more than a quarter century, trumpeter/composer/bandleader Terence Blanchard has celebrated his native New Orleans in music. In his return to McCarter, his quintet will not only play from his latest CD Choices (featuring spoken word segments by Princeton’s own Cornel West) but will also be joined by 30 student musicians from the University‘s Orchestra and Concert Jazz Ensemble in the suite from his Grammy Award-winning A Tale of God’s Will (A Requiem for Katrina), written for Spike Lee’s epic documentary When the Levees Broke. Seats are limited and are only available for Princeton graduate students. To reserve a ticket, contact Taniecea at firstname.lastname@example.org, indicating your name, PUID number, and the last two digits of your social security number.
