Mindfulness and Meditation Lunch: Mindfulness in Everyday Life
In this workshop, you will learn the essentials of mindfulness meditation, and understand ways to integrate mindfulness into your daily life. Since mindfulness simply involves paying attention to the present moment, mindfulness can be brought to anything we do. We can eat mindfully, walk mindfully, drive mindfully, work on a computer mindfully, and talk to people mindfully. Whatever it is we’re doing, we can do it mindfully. We all have the capacity to be mindful. It simply involves cultivating our ability to pay attention in the present moment. It makes it possible for us to respond rather than to react to situations, thus improving our decision-making and potential for physical and mental relaxation. Facilitated by: Shefalika Gandhi, LCSW. A healthy lunch will be served. The event is free. Sign-ups are encouraged but a number of walk-ins will be allowed. Sign up with Olivia at omartel@princeton.edu.
