Mindfulness and Happiness
This workshop, run by Shefalika Gandhi, LCSW, and Kate Salvatore, M.D., will show you how you can use mindfulness techniques to bounce back from negative events and enhance your life. Positive emotions are linked with better health, academic success and improved relationships. On the other hand, chronic sadness, worry, and loneliness increase the risk of developing personal and professional issues. Mindfulness practice is an invaluable skill that helps expand our capacity for happiness as we gain courage and skills to face our problems. This workshop will provide an opportunity to slow down in this fast-paced setting and to experience the wonders of positive emotions and resilience! Cupcakes (one of the happiest of foods!) will be served. Please let us know if you’d like to join us by emailing Olivia at omartel@princeton.edu.
