Federal Work-Study Information for Students
The Federal Work-Study (FWS) application deadline is Monday, April 22, 2013. You will be notified of the decision as soon as your eligibility is determined by the Graduate School on or after May 31st.
Please note: There is a better chance of you obtaining a summer FWS position if you are able to identify a specific faculty member with whom you wish to work.
Complete the following steps in order to apply for summer FWS.
- FAFSA - must be filed by April 22, 2013 for full consideration for summer work-study. The FAFSA is used to determine your eligibility for federal aid. The 2013-2014 FAFSA is available online.
NOTE: You must list Princeton’s Federal School Code on the FAFSA; Princeton’s code is 002627.
- Summer Work-Study Application
Download the graduate student FWS Student Application and return it to the Graduate School Office, 111 Clio Hall by April 22, 2013.
- 2012 Tax Return
Submit a signed copy of your 2012 federal income tax return to the Graduate School Office (111 Clio Hall) by April 22, 2013. If you were not required to file a federal tax return, submit a signed statement indicating your sources and amounts of income during calendar year 2012.
