Faculty-quality regalia is custom-made regalia manufactured specifically for you. This regalia is manufactured for long-term usage, and with proper care could last your entire academic or teaching career. It is made of the finest materials and adheres strictly to the requirements set down by the Inter-collegiate Code. The cost of faculty-quality regalia is approximately $800 to $900. If you are receiving the Ph.D. degree, you may order either the orange and black gown, which has been officially adopted by Princeton University, or the black gown with black velvet panels. The official Ph.D. hood lining for Princeton is orange with a black chevron.
Standard regalia is manufactured for a onetime use and can be kept as a memento of your commencement. The cost is $54.25 for the Ph.D. regalia and $45.80 for the master's (shipping and handling included). The complete set of regalia must be ordered. In order to receive a standard hood, standard regalia must be ordered.
