Faculty and Research Staff
STANLEY J. SEEGER FELLOWSHIPS FOR RESEARCH IN GREECE SUMMER 2012
The Center for Hellenic Studies offers a limited number of Stanley J. Seeger Fellowships for Princeton faculty members whose work would benefit from travel and research in Greece, Cyprus, or other Mediterranean countries relevant to the study of Classical, Byzantine, or Modern Greece.
Faculty members from all Princeton Humanities or Social Science departments or programs are welcome to apply. Research and professional staff are also eligible.
The Committee urges all applicants to investigate other sources of support, including the University Committee on Research in the Humanities and Social Sciences, and other University funds. We do not normally sponsor projects that can be supported by such fellowships or by Federal or other grants. Every effort is made to make our funds go as far as possible, hence, support is limited to the least expensive airfare, tuition costs (if applicable), and a modest contribution (at the standard University per diem rate) to cover the cost of living and traveling abroad. The Committee does not normally make more than two awards to the same individual within any four-year period.
Faculty members and research or professional staff may apply through a memo to the Committee explaining the nature of the project, length of visit, alternative sources of support, expected results, and estimated cost.
Application deadline: Friday, March 1, 2013
