Jewish Global Philanthropy
Designed for students interested in investigating Jewish communities across the world, this fellowship will explore how and why we give in a global setting. This is an opportunity for students to investigate contemporary social and economic issues by meeting with scholars and leading professionals, as well as make a difference by donating to an international cause of their choice.
Conceived through a JDC-led service trip to Argentina, the fellowship will serve to introduce humanitarian and social work being done in diverse communities. Students will learn about the process for evaluating such causes in order to effectively allocate a philanthropic donation. The semester will culminate in fellows reaching their own consensus about where to contribute a set allotment of funding provided by the fellowship.
Meets Thursdays, 5:30 - 7:30 pm, beginning October 3
Applications are due by September 23. Click here to access the fellowships common application.
