Welcome to the CJL Kosher Dining Hall

The kosher dining hall located at the Center for Jewish Life (CJL), is run by Princeton University Dining Services and supervised by the Orthodox Union (OU).
The dining hall is open to all Princeton University students, faculty and staff. Visitors, including prospective students, community and family members are also welcome to dine at the CJL.
Arranging for Takeout Meals
Departments
Departments may arrange to pick up a takeout meal from the CJL's kosher dining hall by sending an e-mail in advance to Irena Tech-Czarny & Oscar Smith in Dining Services. Please provide the date and time the meal will be picked up and specify the meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Please provide an account (project grant) to charge. If you are a student and require a takeout kosher meal for an event at your residential college, please contact your college administrator. Takeout meals must be picked up from the CJL dining hall servery (CJL dining staff do not make deliveries). See more information about paying for meals.
Bag Lunches for Students
Students with meal plans may request a takeout lunch only by filling out a takeout slip at either, 1) dinner the night before needing the lunch or, 2) at breakfast the day the bag lunch is requested. The bag lunch must be picked up before 10:45am. Menu selections are made by checking off choices on the bag lunch slips found at the card checker’s desk. Once completed, the slip should be left with the checker. The bag lunch typically consists of a sandwich, fruit, & cookies or chips. When the slip is filled out, the meal will be taken away at lunch; i.e., you cannot swipe in at another dining hall after picking up a bag lunch that day without incurring an additional charge.
Takeout Meals In the CJL Building
If a student would like to take their plate of food from the CJL servery to another location in the building, the student may be asked to leave their prox with the checker until they return with the empty plate to the dining hall servery. Please note: Dining Services does not allow paper products to be used for taking meals outside the dining hall.
