Ingrid Ockert is a second year P.h.D. student in the history of science program. Her interests include channels of scientific communication, gender and science, and technological optimism. Most recently, Ingrid has researched the life of David E. Lilienthal, the first chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission.
Ingrid graduated summa cum laude from Oregon State University (2012, B.A.), where she studied history of science in the 20th century. Previously, Ingrid interned at Oregon Public Broadcasting and TERRA Magazine. She also worked as an assistant archivist in Oregon State’s Special Collections and Archives Research Center.
