I am a second year PhD candidate studying the High Middle Ages, with a particular emphasis on twelfth- and thirteenth-century England and France. My research interests encompass rural society, the Church, medieval law, religious violence, heresy, and persecution. Previous projects have studied cemeteries in thirteenth- and fourteenth-century Normandy, the recruitment of the Second Crusade, the medieval ordeal, and twelfth-century religious women.
I earned my A.B. in History and Religious Studies from Washington University in Saint Louis in 2011, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. I was also inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and earned a Distinction in History.
