Global Health Panel
Your Premeds Without Borders Committee has organized a great guest speaking opportunity for you all. In keeping with their goal to give you all more exposure to different health settings, they've arranged a panel of physicians to come to speak at Princeton, most of whom are faculty at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. These physicians are some of the leaders in their respective fields, and it will be a great opportunity to learn more about healthcare/medicine from a global perspective. Listed below are brief descriptions/profiles:
Dr. Kent Bream - Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine and Community Health at UPenn Medical School who works on Newborn and Maternal Health in addition to family medicine and community health in Guatemala
Dr. Jaimo Ahn - Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UPenn Medical School with numerous accomplishments with orthopaedic trauma care disparity and education in Latin America
Dr. Vivek Ahya - Associate Professor of Medicine at UPenn Medical School who works heavily in the realm of clinical lung transplantation in the United States, is involved in quality improvement at Penn and more generally equitable delivery of healthcare, and is currently working toward an MBA in Medical Services Management part-time at Hopkins
Dr. Usha Ramachandran - Pediatric faculty at RWJMS and a member of the SATHI advisory council will represent SATHI.
This is an awesome opportunity to hear more about different kinds of medicine from leading physicians in their respective fields.
