Princeton Young Achievers (PYA) is Accepting Applications for Project Coordinators
Princeton Young Achievers is a great way to get involved in the local Princeton community, without putting too much stress on the lives of already-busy Princeton students. We volunteer at a YMCA sponsored after-school program on Witherspoon called the Pannell Center (but for the time they have moved Community Park School because of construction at Pannell), with children ages Pre-K through 5th grade.
The program is a walking distance from campus, and runs every weekday from 3:30-5:30, so Princeton students can pick whichever day is convenient for them! The younger students have a small amount of homework, so volunteers spend a lot of time reading books with them and playing games. Volunteers with the older students in 3rd through 5th grade usually spend the time helping them with homework.
As a Project Coordinator, you would have a small but extremely important role - mainly signing up new volunteers at the YMCA, and maintaining a good relationship with the community partner. If you are interested, please complete the attached application and email it to Tiana Woolridge'15 no later than 11:59pm on Friday, April 5th.
