Office of Human Resources Recognized at Lavender Graduation
The Office of Human Resources received the University Department Recognition Award from the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) Center at the Lavender Graduation held on May 10, 2014. The graduation ceremony celebrates the achievements of graduating students and honors the contributions of Princeton students, staff and faculty. The award reflects the significant work of the HR team regarding the inclusion of gender confirmation surgery coverage to the University’s employee medical plan, the creation of a new brochure for LGBT employees, the support and work for the Ally Project, the ongoing support for the LGBT Employee Resource Group and for the LGBT Center, and the involvement with the healthcare subcommittee of the Transgender Working Group. Also noted was the continued leadership by Vice President for Human Resources Lianne Sullivan-Crowley who has been a keynote speaker for Lavender Graduation, moderator for the Working on Campus plenary at the Every Voice Conference and facilitator of a previous year’s LGBT Community Forum.
