Annual Benefits Open Enrollment for 2019 Now Underway through November 9, 2018
Annual Benefits Open Enrollment for 2019 began Monday, October 15, and ends on Friday, November 9, 2018. All benefits-eligible employees have the opportunity to review and elect or modify benefits choices in HR Self Service from Monday, October 15, through Friday, November 9.
All faculty and staff must elect medical plan coverage for 2019, even if you are currently enrolled in a Princeton plan. If you do not elect a medical plan for 2019, you will be defaulted into the Consumer Directed Health Plan (CDHP) at the same coverage level (e.g., employee only, employee and spouse, etc.) unless you are on a J-1 Visa, already enrolled in the CDHP, or are currently waived from coverage. You can review your current benefits enrollments and covered dependents in HR Self Service.
To help you make the best benefits decisions for you and your family, we are providing you with a variety of resources and a new decision support tool: ALEX. ALEX is an online, interactive tool that will explain your options and help you choose the plans that make the most sense for you and your family.
The annual Benefits Fairs will be held on:
- October 24, in the Frist Multipurpose Rooms from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- October 25, in the Lyman Spitzer Building at PPPL from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Benefits Team members and Winston Benefits counselors will be available to meet with faculty and staff; see the “Key Dates for Open Enrollment” section in the Open Enrollment guide. In addition, on campus appointments with our new Voluntary Benefits administrator, Winston Benefits, are available to be booked online.
Information about changes to the healthcare plans and new voluntary benefit offerings are described in the 2019 Open Enrollment Packet.
