This year, the University’s summer workday schedule will begin on Monday, June 10, 2013. During this period, normal business hours are adjusted to 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a 45-minute lunch break. The normal schedule will resume on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, following Labor Day, Monday, September 2.
Effective April 1, 2013, changes to the PayFlex Card® provided to current participants in the Health Benefit Expense Account (HBEA will be enacted in accordance with a new law, the Durbin Amendment.
Employees who participated in a health benefit and/or dependent care expense account in 2012, must submit claims for eligible expenses incurred in 2012 to PayFlex for reimbursement no later than March 31, 2013. Individuals who miss this deadline will forfeit any remaining monies, since unused funds cannot be rolled over into the next plan year. The PayFlex claim form is available on our website. You may also file claims online at www.healthhub.com.
On January 2, 2013, President Obama signed the American Taxpayer Relief Act (ATRA) of 2012, which changed the maximum pretax limit that can be set aside for the Transit Reimbursement Account to equal the pretax Parking Reimbursement Account Limit. In 2012, prior to ATRA, the Transit Reimbursement Account limit was $125 per month and the Parking Reimbursement Account limit was $240 per month.
Express Scripts (previously Medco) has identified an issue that is affecting some Princeton University employees hired prior to January 2007 who are attempting to fill prescriptions at retail pharmacies. This issue does not affect mail order prescriptions.

Due to the impact of Hurricane Sandy on the University and the surrounding communities, the end date of the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment Period was extended from Friday, November 16, to Wednesday, November 28, 2012.
