Maternity

A short term disability for maternity adheres to the same requirements, procedures and benefits for all other medical conditions related to personal, non-work related illnesses or injuries. A short term disability for maternity begins when your licensed health care provider certifies that you are not able to work, and it ends when your licensed health care provider determines that you are able to return to work based on your ability to perform the essential requirements of your position. Please refer to policy 3.1.10 Short Term Disability for more specific information.  

If you a dean of the faculty employee, you should consult with the Office of the Dean of the Faculty for more specific details about DoF procedures and practices which pertain specifically to you.
