Annual Open Enrollment Period

When you are first hired or become a benefits-eligible employee, you have 31 days to enroll in Princeton’s benefit plans. After this initial enrollment period, you are permitted to change your benefits only when your situation changes with a qualifying status event, or during the University’s Annual Open Enrollment Period.

The choices we make concerning our benefits during the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment Period are among the most important we select for ourselves and our families. During our Annual Benefits Open Enrollment Period you have the opportunity to: 
Prior to the start of each Annual Benefits Open Enrollment Period, you will receive written information from the Office of Human Resources that describes any changes that are being made to the University’s benefits plans. During the Open Enrollment Period, you can change your benefit plan choices, and you can add or delete dependents. All changes normally become effective on the following January 1.
 
The open enrollment website is activated on the first day of open enrollment and is deactivated in the beginning of January of the following year.

While the University intends to continue each of the benefit plans, the University reserves the right to terminate or amend any plan, at any time, and for any reason.
