Employee Child Care Assistance Program

The Employee Child Care Assistance Program (ECCAP) provides assistance to eligible faculty and staff members to help meet the cost of child care for prekindergarten-aged children. Eligibility rules and the amount of the awards are determined by the Princeton Child Care Assistance Committee and based on household income. The awards can be used to pay for a wide range of possible child care arrangements from in-home care to licensed day care centers.

The maximum award for one eligible child is up to $5,000 per year; you may receive an additional award for a second eligible child. If both you and your spouse or partner are employed by the University, only one award is provided per child. ECCAP awards are considered additional income by the IRS and will be subject to state and federal taxes.
The University is not responsible for late payment fees or finance charges incurred and/or charged by your caregiver.
Employees are expected to abide by the rules, requirements and procedures of this program. Any knowingly false statements or representations may result in denial of the award and/or disciplinary action. You may be asked to provide additional financial information by the plan adminstrator.
All information submitted is confidential and will be used only to administer the ECCAP.
