Non-probationary employees terminating from the University are paid for unused accrued vacation up to a maximum of thirty (30) days. Terminating employees are not compensated for unused sporadic absence days, excused absence for compelling reasons, or optional holidays. Employees participating in the Paid Time Off program are compensated within its guidelines.

Procedure
|
It is the supervisor’s responsibility to ensure the accuracy of time records of terminating employees and for forwarding the completed Termination/Retirement form to the Office of Human Resources. (See: 3.1.8 Vacation .)
