Part A:  Voluntary

Resignation
Eligible for Unemployment? eligibility determined by NJ State Unemployment Services
 
Notice: biweekly staff: 2 weeks; monthly staff: 1 month
 
Benefit Status: COBRA eligible; life insurance continues for 31 days beyond termination date
 
Comments: Unused accrued vacation paid up to max of 30 days; return of all University property required
 
Retirement
Eligible for Unemployment? No
 
Notice: minimum of 1 month in advance preferred
 
Benefit Status: Retiree medical and pension benefits; life insurance continues for 31 days beyond termination date
 
Comments: Unused accrued vacation paid up to max of 30 days; may retain University ID; return of all University property required
 
Death While Actively Employed
Eligible for Unemployment? NA
 
Notice: NA

Benefit Status: Survivors COBRA eligible; pension for survivor; consult with Benefits section
 
Comments: Unused accrued vacation paid up to max of 30 days; spouse/domestic partner may retain University ID; return of all University property required
 
Job Abandonment
