Claire Jacobs Elson

Claire Jacobs Elson, director of human resources, has oversight of recruitment and staffing, communications, events, budget and reception. She has been with Princeton University since 1991 and was a region manager for more than 10 years.

Prior to coming to Princeton, Claire was assistant director of human resources at The New School in New York City.

Claire holds a bachelor's degree from Barnard College, a master's of art and a master's of education in applied human development and counseling from the Teachers College at Columbia University. She also completed advanced curriculum work in human resources at the Graduate School of Management and Urban Professionals at The New School.

Claire is known in the office for her homemade chocolate cake, her passion for the New York Yankees and — most importantly — her family.
