Judith Hernandez

  

Judith Hernandez joined the HR Client Services Team as a generalist in 2011. Her primary area of focus is the Office of Finance and Treasury. There, she works on change and talent management initiatives designed to enhance the effectiveness of the organization by supporting strategic recruiting efforts; developing comprehensive job descriptions; assisting staff to achieve development objectives; and helping managers with the performance appraisal process, employee relations and training and development needs. Judith also provides advice on HR and University policy and procedures that pertain to employment matters.  

Prior to her employment at Princeton, Judith worked in Mexico and in the United States in both the private and public sectors. In Durango, Mexico, she was the head of human resources for the municipal government, where she managed a team of 22 with a large employee population. In the San Francisco Bay Area, she was employed in the pharmaceutical industry.
 
Judith’s obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City. She earned her master’s degree in public administration with a concentration in finance and advanced management from Columbia University.
 
Judith enjoys volunteering with microfinance organizations and those that focus on women's issues and education. She also likes to explore the neighborhoods and restaurants in New York City with her husband and her two teenage sons. Whenever possible, Judith spends time visiting with family and friends in Mexico.
