Pierre Joanis is the executive director of client services, which encompasses the human resource areas of employee relations, labor relations and learning and development. He works to support the development and full engagement of all employees by fostering collaborative relationships and nurturing holistic learning and development opportunities.
Prior to joining Princeton’s staff in 2006, Pierre represented various labor unions and worked as a lobbyist at the local, state and federal level on topics ranging from privatization to free trade.
Pierre holds a master's degree in business administration with a strong focus on international human resources. He completed the Harvard University program on negotiations and Cornell University's programs in labor relations. Pierre is certified in multiple learning and diagnostic systems, including DDI, Lominger Competency Assessment, 360 Feedback and Coaching and maintains the certification of Senior Professional of Human Resources.
Away from Princeton, Pierre served the State of New Jersey as a Commissioner of the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission where he oversaw issues affecting over 450,000 government employees.
