William Faris

William Faris, director of compensation, directs the design, development and administration of nonfaculty pay programs for the University. With over 30 years of human resource and compensation experience, Bill previously held senior management roles at the New York City Department of Education, McGraw–Hill Corporation, CIGNA Corporation and Equitable Insurance. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Rutgers University, New York University, Adelphia University and Cornell University. 

Bill holds a master’s degree in labor and industrial relations and also in management engineering. He is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP). In his free time, Bill enjoys traveling and collecting books and antiques.
