Application Process

Whether you are new to Princeton University or a current employee, you can search for current openings, create and update your profile, apply for jobs, and check the status of an application by visiting our Careers at Princeton website.

If you don’t have access to a computer, visit our office located on the main campus of the University on the second floor of the New South building. Computer stations are available for use by job seekers from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (or from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the summer).
Open positions are posted as they become available and normally for a minimum of five business days and, in most cases, are posted for several weeks.

Applicant Definition

In order to be considered an applicant at Princeton University, you must complete an application online for a service and maintenance position or upload your resume online for an administrative and professional or research position (cover letter is optional). In addition, you must:

  • identify a specific job opening and

  • express an interest in a timely manner and

  • be minimally qualified for the specific job opening.

Minimally qualified is defined as possessing the knowledge, skills, education and experience listed as “essential qualifications” in the job posting.
