Alternative holiday arrangements may be made by departments and offices, such as the University Library and Campus Dining, where work schedules or union contracts dictate other holiday schedules.

Employees who would like to take the entire week between Christmas and New Year's must request time off from their supervisors and may use personal days or vacation days. Supervisors should consider appropriate staffing levels when approving time-off requests.
