Weather Emergencies
Because Princeton is a residential community, the University needs to remain open at all times. There are occasions, however, when there is a weather emergency that the University announces a delayed arrival time, an early dismissal time or remains open for critical staff only. In all cases, you must use your best judgment in determining your own safety when traveling to and from home.
The following information describes when you are expected to report — or not report — to work during a weather emergency and what pay rate you will receive, depending on the circumstances. Overtime practices apply only to biweekly-paid staff. For more information, refer to the annual planning memo sent to office heads and department managers.
