Opportunities Abroad: Overview
It is Princeton's goal that all students explore the opportunities for international experience available to them. Two central programs that help undergraduate students make international connections are the Study Abroad Program and the International Internship Program. Both graduate and undergraduate students have a wealth of other international study and research opportunities available to them, including the chance to conduct independent research abroad. The University also supports students interested in engaging in individual or group extracurricular projects abroad.
Launched in fall 2009, the pathfinder Bridge Year Program enables 20 selected incoming undergraduates to spend a year in public service abroad, further underscoring the University's informal motto, "In the nation's service and in the service of all nations."
After graduating, there are many opportunities for lifelong learning and service abroad.
