Tea & Talk - International Discussion Group : Bridge Year
Princeton’s Bridge Year Program allows a select number of Princeton students to delay the start of their freshman year to engage in nine months of University-sponsored community service at an international location. What is the benefit of taking a year away from academics between high school and college to pursue this type of experience? What do participants learn over the course of their “Bridge Year”? What kind of work are they doing at these international locations? How does the program impact their Princeton experience? Join a group of Bridge Year Program alumni to discuss these questions and many others.
Tea & Talk is an informal weekly discussion and support group for international students and scholars - focused on issues that are common for international students as they adjust to life in the U.S. and the Princeton campus culture. Many international students experience homesickness, loneliness, academic stress, language and communication difficulties. Tea and Talk meets every Wednesday. Feel free to attend as many or as few meetings as you like. Come and receive insight from other international students facing similar challenges, as well as support from facilitators who are experienced with international student issues. A light lunch (and of course tea!) will be served at each meeting. Please contact intlnews@princeton.edu for more information.
