Tea & Talk - International Discussion Group : American Individualism
Learn how the American society has been successfully built on the principles of individual freedom to choose, to take risks, to achieve, and to bear the responsibility for success or failure. If you are an International student trying to understand the American cultural value of individualism, join us to learn ways to enhance cross-cultural understanding.
Tea & Talk is an informal weekly discussion and support group for international students and scholars - focused on issues that are common for international students as they adjust to life in the U.S. and the Princeton campus culture. Many international students experience homesickness, loneliness, academic stress, language and communication difficulties. Tea and Talk meets every Wednesday. Feel free to attend as many or as few meetings as you like. Come and receive insight from other international students facing similar challenges, as well as support from facilitators who are experienced with international student issues. A light lunch (and of course tea!) will be served at each meeting. Please contact intlnews@princeton.edu for more information.
