Letters of support
The Davis International Center can issue Princeton University sponsored F-1 and J-1 students with a letter confirming their immigration status. This letter may be used to supplement your family member's visitor visa (B-2) application at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate abroad.
To request a letter of support, please send an e-mail to puvisa@princeton.edu which includes the following and is in the following format:
- Your first name
- Your last name
- Your major/concentration
- Your degree level (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD)
NOTE: The maximum number of letters we can issue is 2 (two). You can make photocopies if you need additional letters. Please allow 5 business days for processing. You will be sent an e-mail when the letter is ready for pick up.
For information in regard to applying for a U.S. visitor visa for your family, they should contact the nearest U.S. Embassy/Consulate.
