Elections
The section on elections currently provides data on all parliamentary and presidential elections in the Islamic Republic to date. It features electoral data and translations of the electoral laws and bylaws from 1979 until today, as well as the parliamentary handbooks with individual MP biographies for each legislative period.
Where possible, data is broken down to the provincial level. The Iran Data Portal does not feature electoral data from the municipal elections (1999, 2003, 2006, 2011), since the data available is too unreliable to date.
Because of its historical significance, we provide more extensive data on the 2009 presidential election, including statements made by important political, social and clerical individuals and groups.
In the future, this section will also include data from the Assembly of Experts Elections.
