The Iranian Census has been taken in 1956, 1966, 1976, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2006 and 2011. Where 2006 census data were not available, the most recent statistics published by various governmental agencies or ministries are given. In order to facilitate use of this data for quantitative analysis, the information is presented in an Excel spreadsheet at the end of the page.
