Data Centers

Princeton's Office of Information Technology operates several data centers that house administrative, academic and research computing systems along with associated networking and storage equipment.  The total space available is about 13,000 square feet, with over a mega-watt of total available power.  The power in all the data centers is protected from transient interruptions by Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and backup diesel generators.

OIT also hosts equipment for other departments.  For a description of the hosting service, refer to the OIT knowledgebase article, "OIT Dedicated Server Hosting Service."   As part of the hosting service, OIT can provide system administration for hosted servers, or we can simply provide space, power and cooling.
