E-mail Infrastructure

The Collaboration Services Group (CSG) manages secure, reliable, and efficient enterprise applications to support collaboration in the University community.  These applications include electronic mail, web content management, audio and video streaming, mobile device messaging, and collaborative file sharing. 
 

E-mail Infrastructure

Spam Protection Spam protection systems check the content of all e-mail messages and determine if the messages are potential spam, viruses, phishing scams, or legitimate e-mail. 
Sendmail Sendmail systems are responsible for routing e-mail inbound to University mail systems and outbound to the Internet.  The systems use secure authentication for sending e-mail.
Sun IMAP The Sun IMAP systems are the mailbox servers for students in the Class of 2012, 2013, and 2014, and some employees.  E-mail messages are delivered to mailboxes on these systems. 
Microsoft Exchange Microsoft Exchange systems are the mailbox servers for students in the Class of 2015 and most employees.  E-mail messages are delivered to mailboxes on these systems.
@Mail WebMail The @Mail WebMail system provides a web interface to the Sun IMAP system for accessing e-mail. 
Mobile Devices ActiveSync Devices (iPhones, Droids, and other smartphones), and BlackBerry handhelds, are supported for calendaring and e-mail on the Sun IMAP and Microsoft Exchange servers.
ListServ The ListServ system provides the ability to e-mail groups of people at the University.
